Rush - Web3 Trivia game

A fast-paced trivia game where knowledge, speed, and Web3 collide.

A trivia sprint where every second counts, and only quick minds keep pace

The Core Challenge

Our goal was to expand the FITT token universe by giving it new, playful use cases. During a 4-day hackathon, we set out to design something that aligned with our brand’s motto of fun, resonated with our Web3 audience, and could showcase how tokens create value beyond utility. The challenge was to craft a concept that felt fresh, engaging, and true to our ecosystem.

Behind the Scenes

To keep Rush competitive, fair, and replayable, I focused on designing simple but high-stakes mechanics that balance knowledge, speed, and risk.

Trivia questions were sourced via a ChatGPT API, ensuring variety and freshness

Players answered questions in 10 second timed rounds, where both speed and accuracy mattered

Difficulty scaled each round, with shorter timer and harder questions to build tension

Quick matches encouraged replayability. instant reinvestment fueling the loop

Players were grouped by stake levels, so competition felt fair and rewards meaningful

Small wins built momentum, while bigger payouts kept high-stakes rounds exciting

UX/UI DESIGN

Crafting the Game Loop

Rush was styled with retro gaming aesthetics using pixelated fonts, arcade-like sounds, and a bold purple, black, and white palette. Subtle motion and sharp contrasts kept the energy high, making the trivia feel fast, fun, and unmistakably game-like.

What Playtesting Revealed

Playtesting was fast, competitive, and fun, confirming the core gameplay worked well. We noticed delays in finding players, so we added bots for instant matches. Most bugs and glitches were also fixed, improving both flow and performance.
